What Makes an Academy Beauty Course Different?

The Academy of Clinical Training was designed to set the standard in Scotland for training within the beauty industry. By providing a state-of-the-art beauty school with a core focus on professionalism and hands-on experience, we aim to give prospective students the best possible environment in which to learn and grow as a beauty professional. This is all down a to a few key ways in which we have designed the training courses at our Academy to be different from others in the industry.

Here are 5 ways in which a beauty course at The Academy of Clinical Training sets itself apart from the rest:

Open to a Range of Abilities

While a few of our courses require previous qualifications, many of our beauty courses are aimed at people with any level of skill and experience in the industry. Our course programmes are designed to be just as informative and accessible for trainees whether they’re growing their careers form the ground up or adding another skill or certification to their repertoire.

Variety and Thorough Learning

Most of our beauty courses are delivered over an intensive one-day timeframe, with applicants completing a short assessment beforehand in one of our beauty course booklets. On the day, an Academy beauty course will present the attendee with an overview of the methods and processes of whichever treatment they have chosen to train in (These cover a wide spectrum of beauty treatments, including eyebrow threading, Thai massage, waxing, dermaplaning and manicures). This structure has been designed to maximise each trainee’s time receiving instruction from our team of therapists in a real-world salon environment, with supplementary course literature giving them in-depth theory knowledge behind each procedure, therapy and treatment.

Industry-Leading Facilities

One of the greatest assets at The Academy is our in-house beauty salon, Urban Retreat. Used as both a publicly-accessible salon and our main training facility, substantial investment has been made in ensuring that this creates a relaxing, clean and professional environment for both clients and trainees on each ACT beauty course. State-of-the-art equipment and industry-leading products allow for high standards of excellence.

Hands-On Beauty Courses

Speaking of which, we believe that this hands-on, practical training sets each beauty course at the Academy apart. Trainees will be able to practice their skills using top-range products and equipment, with the supervision and guidance of our friendly team of qualified therapists. This presents the opportunity to really learn the ins-and-outs of each treatment or therapy, allowing a greater understanding and knowledge of the process, which will last through into each trainee’s future careers in the beauty industry.

Accredited, Professional Instruction

With the expertise and professionalism of our university-qualified instructors, attendees at an Academy of Clinical Training beauty course will be able to learn from and work with skilled therapists, no matter if they are simply looking to gain new qualifications or are a complete beginner seeking a change of career. Students on an ACT beauty course can expect to be given a warm welcome by our team members, who will be able to answer any and all questions and give their honest, professional advice.

We offer our own ACTA qualification, CPD for existing beauty professionals and we have worked in unison with all existing and recognised Beauty Accreditation bodies to provide a full spectrum of Beauty Training courses. See our upcoming beauty training courses in Glasgow.
